Linda Warkentin, d/b/a Lindi Books (“we”, “us”) operates librarywithoutwalls.org. Linda Warkentin, d/b/a Lindi Books is the business responsible for this website and the personal information described here. This policy explains what little we collect, why, and your choices.

What we collect

• Nothing, for most visitors. This site uses no analytics, no advertising trackers, no social-media pixels, and no session recording. Reading and downloading books requires no account and no personal information.
• Email you send us. If you email linda@lindibooks.org, we receive your address and message and use them only to reply.
• Book uploads (administrators only). The password-protected upload page sends the book file, title, author byline, and description to our hosting provider so the book can appear in the library. The password is never stored in your browser or on this site's pages.
• Your cookie choice. A small record of your cookie preferences (see the Cookie Policy) is stored in your own browser, not on our servers.

Service providers

This site is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), which processes site traffic (including IP addresses in standard server logs) as our hosting provider. Website design, hosting, and technical administration are provided by an independent third-party service provider. Neither is permitted to use site data for its own marketing.

What we don't do

• We do not sell or share personal information (as those terms are defined in California law).
• We do not run third-party advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.
• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children — the site is designed so kids can read without providing any.

Retention

Emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your question. Standard hosting logs are retained briefly by AWS for security and troubleshooting, then deleted in the normal course.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or opt out of any future analytics via the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal automatically. To exercise any right, email linda@lindibooks.org.

Changes

If our practices change — for example, if analytics are ever added — this policy and the consent banner will be updated first, and nothing new will run without your opt-in.
