Tuukut and the Thirsty Oak
A story of kindness, courage, and caring for the earth
A young bobcat named Túuukut hears a thirsty old oak whisper that its roots need water, and begins carrying it from the creek a drop at a time. Rabbit, Quail, Deer and Golden Eagle see what he is doing and join in, and together they bring the oak through a dry spell. A fable about noticing a need and acting on it, and how one small kindness grows into a whole community caring for the land.
