A picture-book story
A Garden for Friends
Six-year-old Chloe wants a garden like her grandma's, so she asks her pets and family what to plant: carrots for Sage the dog, sunflowers for Merlyn the parrot, catnip for Emme the cat, apples for Daniel the horse. After the story, the book walks through the real steps of starting a garden, from picking a sunny spot to planting and watering, and ends with a short poem about growing vegetables.
